When Will Bill Maher Talk About His Dinner With Trump And Kid Rock On ‘Real Time’?

Real Time with Bill Maher host Bill Maher recently had dinner with President Donald Trump and Kid Rock at the White House. When will Maher spill the details of his meeting with Trump on the show?

Maher, of course, is a huge skeptic of Trump and has frequently criticized the president’s policies on Real Time. Despite his disdain for Trump’s actions, Maher last month revealed that he was taking up Trump supporter Kid Rock’s invitation to have dinner with the president at the White House. The hit musician brokered the deal with the president in a bid to establish unity in the country.

“Kid Rock was here a couple of weeks ago, and he said, ‘I want you to meet Trump.’ He said, ‘I’m gonna take you to the White House.’ So now we’re gonna do that,” Maher told comedian Andrew Schulz in a recent episode of his podcast Club Random.

Maher, who is proudly liberal but criticizes both the right and left on Real Time and Club Random and invites conservative and liberal guests on both shows, told Schulz that he was aware that having dinner with Trump would raise the ire of some Democrats — but he didn’t care.

“There will be lots of people on the left who will be like, ‘How dare you talk to this man.’ It’s like ‘F— you, I’m not playing this game that you mean girls play. ‘Oh, you know what? You can’t sit at my lunch table, because I’m just not talking to you.’ Not talking to you? You lost the election. Who the f— do you think you have to talk to?”

On March 31, Maher visited Trump at the White House along with Kid Rock and UFC CEO Dana White. Those hoping to hear details of the meeting last Friday didn’t get the details from Maher because the show was off for the week.

The stand-up comedian and political commentator promised in a post on X on April 1, though, that viewers will his reaction to the meeting is coming on his April 11 episode of Real Time with Bill Maher, which is this Friday night.

Kid Rock Says Bill Maher’s Meeting With President Trump ‘Could Not Have Been Better’

While Bill Maher is holding his thoughts on his dinner with President Donald Trump, Kid Rock gave his assessment of the meeting on April 1 in an interview on the FOX News show Fox & Friends.

“I went on Bill’s show — I went on his podcast and I said, ‘Man, you know, nothing happens when people don’t break bread together and meet face to face.’ He’s been one of the president’s hardest critics,” Kid Rock told Fox & Friends. “We came to dinner — me, Bill, Dana White and it could not have been better. Everyone was so surprised.”

Kid Rock noted that as involved as Maher has been in politics, he was surprised that the talk show host had never been to the White House before the meeting.

“The president was so gracious. He took us up to the private residence and we saw the Gettysburg Address and the Lincoln Bedroom, and I was like, ‘You’ve never been here, Bill?’” Rock told Fox & Friends.

In addition, Kid Rock told the show how he was proud that Trump extended an olive branch to Maher.

“We talked about things we had in common — ending wokeness, securing the border,” Kid Rock told Fox & Friends. “The president was asking him what he thought about policy [and what was] going on with Iran and Israel and things. It just blew my mind. I was very proud.”

As the vibe Kid Rock from Maher, the musician told Fox & Friends, “After [the dinner] Bill even said to me, ‘Wow, that was …’ everybody’s mind was kind of blown … Everyone was a little suspect going into this. Even the president [asked] me, ‘What have you got me doing?’ I go, ‘Man, we’re just trying to show people that even though we’ve been hard on each other that when you get face to face, maybe we can have a little more civility in this country and bring people together’ … That was my whole intention.”

This Friday’s Real Time with Bill Maher — where Maher will give his reaction to his visit to the White House and his dinner with Trump — airs Friday night on HBO and streams on Max at 10 p.m. ET/ 7 p.m. PT.
