Kelly Bensimon to list her luxury NYC home for $8.99M

“RHONY” alum Kelly Killoren Bensimon is poised to list her Police Building residence downtown for $8.99 million, Gimme Shelter has learned.

It had previously been on the market as a $25,000-a-month rental, as Gimme previously reported.

“It’s the end of an era. People talk about new beginnings, but for me, this is about closure,” Bensimon told Gimme.

“It’s game over. So much of my life was filmed from that apartment. I’m closing the past. It’s all about success, wellness and the future,” said Bensimon, now a Douglas Elliman broker, who will be representing her own listing and, she added, is the building’s broker specialist.

The classic duplex is in a landmarked Beaux-Arts building from the turn of the last century, at 240 Centre St., where Soho, Little Italy and Chinatown meet. It housed New York City’s police headquarters from 1909 until 1973 — and then converted to condos in 1988.

The building also boasts a four-story domed penthouse once owned by Calvin Klein.

The three-bedroom, three-bathroom home is also next door to Bensimon’s ex-husband, the famed fashion shutterbug Gilles Bensimon.

Past and present celebrities in the building also include Christy Turlington — the building was once a home to multiple supermodels — Winona Ryder and Steffi Graf, the latter of whom also once owned that massive penthouse.

Bensimon calls the building a “legacy property” — as it works for singles as well as families, and it’s where people have come to rent and stayed to build their families.

The loft-like home features a large arched Palladian window in the great room, which has 16-foot ceilings. There’s also an open chef’s kitchen and lots of closet space.

Building amenities include a full-time resident manager, a concierge, a doorman, a gym and a private garden.
