Alex Carpenter had a lot on her mind as she plopped herself on the Sirens bus following last week’s loss in Boston.
The four-plus-hour ride back home, though, gave her plenty of time to think it over.
Nothing about this current nine-game losing skid has been easy for anyone on that bus. But for Carpenter, this six-week stretch has been one of the toughest she’s endured.
A puck broke her jaw in late January and she had surgery that left metal in her face. The injury kept her out for two weeks.
