Meghan Markle’s Netflix show ‘With Love, Meghan’ renewed for Season 2 despite criticism

“With Love, Meghan” is getting a second season despite criticism.

Meghan Markle’s lifestyle show has been renewed for another season, which already began filming in January and will premiere in the fall, The Post reported Friday.

The Duchess of Sussex, 43, also took to her Instagram Stories to celebrate the news, captioning a video of herself dancing excitedly, “Lettuce romaine calm … or not (!) because I’m so thrilled to share that Season 2 of ‘With Love, Meghan’ is coming!”

The news comes just three days after “With Love, Meghan” debuted on Netflix and quickly became one of its top 10 shows.

The series, which was initially meant to premiere in January, has received mixed reviews.

In the UK, critics called the show “pointless” and “an exercise in narcissism,” with Daily Mail columnist Amanda Platell calling it “so awful it is almost compelling.”

Meanwhile, the Guardian writer Stuart Heritage dubbed the project “so pointless it might be the Sussexes’ last TV show,” referring to Markle and her husband, Prince Harry, who has also worked with Netflix.

The Independent’s Katie Rosseinsky called Markle’s TV presence “queasy and exhausting,” while the Telegraph’s Anita Singh said the duchess did not seem to have any real skills in the kitchen.

However, the show was praised widely in the US.

Harper’s Bazaar’s Bianca Betancourt wrote that Markle is back where she belongs after returning to her roots from her former lifestyle blog, the Tig, while Emily Burack of Town & Country Magazine noted that the former actress’s “walls come down a bit” in the series.

Following the divided reactions, Markle took to her recently relaunched Instagram account to celebrate the show’s success, telling her fans, “In just 24 hours, [it] is already in the Top 10!

“Thank you to all of you around the world who are tuning in!” she added.

During the eight-episode first season, Markle talked to her guests, including friend Mindy Kaling, about how to host parties as well as cook and bake delicious goods.

She also gave fans a glimpse into her California life after escaping the UK with Harry, 40, and their son, Prince Archie, now 5, in 2020. (Their daughter, Princess Lilibet, now 3, was born a year later.)

Although viewers did not see much of the Duke of Sussex, he showed face during the last episode when his wife of almost seven years hosted a garden party.

During his brief cameo, Harry gushed about how “proud” he was of Markle and even showed a bit of PDA.
