Julianne Moore‘s children’s book, Freckleface Strawberry, may be newly-banned in schools by the Trump administration, but fans and supporters can still find the actress’ semi-autobiographical tale online.

Freckleface Strawberry is currently sold out on Amazon (though a Kindle version is still available), but you can find Moore’s book available at Barnes & Noble and at Walmart.

First released in 2007, the 40-page children’s book tells the story of a little red-haired girl with freckles, who learns that the best way to embrace her differences is by accepting them. After all, as the book description reads, “the things that make you different also make you YOU.”

Per publisher Bloomsbury USA, “Freckleface Strawberry [is] a darling and delightfully illustrated laugh-out-loud story of a young girl learning to love the skin she’s in.”

The full-color picture book features words from Academy Award winner Moore and illustrations from former animator-turned-illustrator, Leuyen Pham. Moore says the book was inspired by her own childhood of being teased about her freckles, and having to learn how to stick up for herself in the face of adversity.

Freckleface Strawberry was a New York Times bestseller when it was first released and it spawned six other books, and even a Broadway musical. You can find the book series available on Kindle, or shop them in stock at Walmart above.

Moore responded to the Department of Defense book ban on Instagram, writing that it came as a “great shock” to her. “I can’t help but wonder what is so controversial about this picture book,” the actress said. “It is a book I wrote for my children and for other kids to remind them that we all struggle, but are united by our humanity and our community.”

NEW MERCH

Moore released another children’s book in 2013: My Mom is a Foreigner, But Not to Me is based on her experiences of growing up with a mother from another country. You can get that book on Kindle through Amazon, or as an e-book through Barnes & Noble here.
